She was deputed with the Indian wrestling team and gave a very exciting and elaborate account of the medal winning bouts of Sushil Kumar & Yogeshwar Dutt. She also told the students about the various preparatory camps in USA & Belarus which the wrestling team attended before the 2012 Olympics. The star Indian female wrestler Geeta Phopat was also helped by Dr. Shweta Jamwal.
She gave a talk on how the student of today needs to focus on the goal, be it academics, co-curricular activities or the sports activities. Her observation as a member of Olympic contingent representing India in London Olympics is that we are good with all our games but what we lack is stamina. Players do not have the stamina after one set or two sets played by them. She said that it is the parents who can play a vital role in bringing India on global platform. Most of the parents discourage the children for sports and they harp on academics which has to change in the larger interest of the child in the long run.
Principal Mr. Trilok Singh Bist presented the special guest a token of appreciation on behalf of Jodhamal Public School and thanked her for sparing her valuable time to be with the jhampians. He assured that her presence will definitely motivate the students community.
